Research Interests

I study racial and socioeconomic disparities in health behaviors in the United States. Using a life course and developmental perspective, I describe how these patterns originate in childhood, consider how acutely stressful experiences contribute to differences, and evaluate the consequences of differences in health behavior for subsequent health and wellbeing.

Biography

In July 2021, I joined the Minnesota Population Center at the University of Minnesota as a Population Health Science Postdoctoral Trainee. From 2019-2021, I was a Frank H.T. Rhodes Postdoctoral Fellow at the Cornell Population Center and affiliate of the Center for the Study of Inequality. Previously, I completed my Ph.D. in Sociology and Social Policy at Princeton University, where I was a member of the Office of Population Research. I study racial and socioeconomic disparities in health behaviors in the United States.
