MPC offers comprehensive grant proposal development services from conception to submission. We provide support for finding the proper funding mechanism, crafting compelling arguments, developing clear and manageable research plans, creating biographical sketches and other necessary forms, budget preparation, assembling the final proposal, and submission.
Grant Writing Consultations
30 minute consults aimed at helping UMN postdocs, staff & faculty who are MPC members. This resource cannot be directly used by students.
Grant writing assistance can include feedback on:
- Specific Aims
- Study design
- Methodological approaches
- Crafting compelling arguments
- Developing clear and manageable research plans
Scheduling a consult: Please complete this google form to indicate your interest in this service and provide a brief description of your request. In-person and virtual options are available. Consults are offered on most Mondays from 11am-12pm. Also, walk-ins are allowed! We’ll be in 50 Willey Hall (ISRDI offices) room 60D. Contact MPC ([email protected]) with questions.
Submit a proposal
All investigators who plan to submit a proposal through MPC should please fill out the MPC Proposal Submission Form below. Once we receive this form, we will contact you to set up a meeting to establish a timeline for submission and to understand which MPC grant proposal services you wish to use. We request that you please give us as much lead time as possible so that we can provide you with the highest level of support. Please fill out the intake form as early as possible if you would like to use this service. Due to volume of requests, we will prioritize those who have given us advanced notice.
