Umesh Ghimire

I am Umesh Ghimire. I am from Nepal and pursuing Health Services Research, Policy, and Administration course at UoM. I have eight years of experience in health research primarily in Nutrition, Food insecurity, Maternal and Child health and risk factors of CVDs. After I completed a graduate degree in public health, I worked in a non-profit organization where I managed several health and nutrition-related surveys and has acquired research skills, and technical capabilities in areas of evidence-based planning and management of household surveys. I am interested in data management and analysis and I have quite a bit of experience working with large-scale data. I use SAS and R programming for data analysis. I have also supervised research projects as a Co-Principal Investigator and the recent research that I worked on was the availability and use of personal protective equipment by the health care workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.
