Biography

Tianhao Zhou is a PhD student in the Department of Applied Economics at University of Minnesota. His research focuses on identifying and measuring how extreme weather can influence public mental health in developing countries, with the adoption of econometric tools (RD, DID, TWFE) on large population datasets. His most recent work identifies and measures the effect of heat stress on cognitive ability of the elderly in the developing world.
