Biography

I recently graduated from St. Catherine University with a B.S. in Public Health, with concentrations in Health Sciences and Public Policy, and will begin the MPH Epidemiology program at the University of Minnesota School of Public Health this fall. My primary research interests are mental health, addiction, and well-being, with a particular focus on understanding how social and environmental conditions shape these outcomes. I am especially interested in using epidemiologic methods to study prevention, recovery, and health disparities, and to generate evidence that informs practice. This summer, I am working with Dr. Katie Berry on the Homeless Mortality project. I am also involved in positive psychology research examining interventions designed to improve subjective well-being. Long term, I hope to build a career conducting research that advances mental health and addiction science while improving the lives of underserved and marginalized populations.
