Shreya Sharma

Shreya Sharma is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Family Social Science at the University of Minnesota, specializing in Couple and Family Therapy. Her research examines how structural inequalities and relational dynamics jointly shape women’s vulnerability to intimate partner violence (IPV) in low-resource and high-risk settings. Drawing on interdisciplinary methods from Family Science and Public Health, her work identifies subgroups of women at elevated IPV risk and the neighborhood-level factors that sustain these risks.
