Research Interests

My strongest interests are in sport and physical activity, and how participation (or lack thereof) in each of these influences psychological and social wellbeing in childhood and adolescence. I am also interested in how inequities contribute to and result from disparities in sport and activity participation. I am working on a series of studies to track trends in sport participation among transgender and gender diverse youth in Minnesota, and I am an active member of the Minnesota Student Survey Working Group. I currently use inferential statistics, but I would be excited to collaborate and learn more about population studies approaches.
