My research focuses on the health of mothers and children living in poverty. I am interested in assessing the interaction between nutritional deficiencies and other poverty-related risk factors and the effect of these interactions on child health and long-term cognitive development. The topic of my Ph.D. dissertation project is primary caregivers' mental health under Covid-19 conditions and its association with child neurodevelopment in Uganda.
Saeun’s research focuses on the health of mothers and children living in poverty. Her passion is to promote the optimized growth and development of children living in resource-poor settings through her research findings.
