Biography

My research interests include the analysis of institutions in the labor market, the influence of labor-management policies on organizations, and the role of labor unions in democratic societies. I have published extensively in the top academic journals in labor economics and industrial relations, and is the author, co-author, or co-editor of nine books.

In 2018 I received the Lifetime Achievement Award for work in industrial relations from the Labor and Employment Relations Association.
