I am interested in population studies from a racial equity perspective. Many of my studies will relate to data analysis of my home country in Fiji but I would greatly benefit from engagement in data and statistical analysis here in Minnesota. I am currently undertaking my Professional Paper under the supervision of Professor Samuel Myers, and taking Statistics for Public Affairs with Professor Angie Fertig.
I’m a storyteller and development professional with more than fifteen years of experience in research, communications and public diplomacy. I’m currently a Fulbright Scholar (2022-2024) at the University of Minnesota’s Hubert H. Humphrey School of Public Affairs. Originally from Fiji, I’m based in Minneapolis, and have worked in aid and international development organisations with a presence in Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Tonga, Kiribati, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Tuvalu and Nauru.
