My expertise is in nutrition and health, and I have a broad background in prevention research and behavioral epidemiology. I have led a body of research investigating nutrition- and weight-related issues among young people and their families, as well as food environments. My most current research focuses on (a) local policy impacts on food access in underserved communities and (b) solutions for addressing food insecurity among post-secondary students I have published 150+ scientific peer-reviewed manuscripts to date, and my work has been supported by an array of funding agencies, including NIH, USDA, and CDC. I also serve as a National Advisory Committee Member to Healthy Eating Research (HER), a national program of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
