Biography

I received both my BS and MPH from the University of Minnesota. Since graduating, I have spend 5 years working at the Minnesota Department of Health as an epidemiologist in the Refugee Health Program. My time there has been spent partially responding to COVID-19, but mostly working on health surveillance projects aimed at improving health outcomes for newcomers.

My research interests include the overlap of migration and health, with a strong passion for universal health care. Central to studies of migration, I am also very interested in history, political economy, and how global systems shape global public health policy.

In my free time, I enjoy biking, climbing, reading, local organizing, and going through an endless phase of new hobbies.
