Research Interests
I am interested in agriculture, labor, and gender within development economics. Specifically, I would like to explore the barriers women in developing countries face to participate in labor force and agricultural activities.
Biography
I am a PhD student at the Department of Applied Economics. My research interests lie within development, agriculture, labor, and gender economics. My main focus is to study the barriers women in developing countries face when participating (or trying to) in labor/agricultural activities. This also involves research around gender norms, social network and women’s empowerment within and outside households. I have working experiences in Vietnam, Bangladesh, India, Uganda, and Sierra Leone.
