Dr. Elise Moore is a current fellow at the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy, where she recently graduated in May 2025, receiving her PharmD and Master of Public Health (MPH). She has 8 years of community pharmacy experience and is passionate about expanding the visibility of community pharmacy in the academic space. Her main research focus has been incorporating a structural and cultural humility framework into the PharmD curriculum and exploring pharmacy access across the state. This stems from her experience working as a staff pharmacist at a community pharmacy in North Minneapolis, an area in the city with a range of social and public health needs and a diverse patient group. This pharmacy is part of a local grocery chain and is the only location providing access to pharmacy and food in this region. If they were to close, it would become a food and pharmacy desert. Dr. Moore's mission is to elevate community pharmacy as a community health access point for patients and promote the importance of keeping community pharmacies in business.
