I study the distribution and effect of health-relevant exposures at the neighborhood level, with a focus on developing improved measurement techniques to more directly answer policy-relevant research questions and evaluate place-based interventions.  My work seeks to identify ways that cities can better promote population heath, improve environmental justice, and reduce health disparities.
