Research Interests
My work examines contextual and structural determinants of population health and how health inequities at the community-level shape disparities in political participation. I aim to understand the role of structural racism in shaping health inequities and disparities in political participation. My work focuses on racialized disparities in chronic health conditions and social needs, such as food security.
Biography
I am an assistant professor at the Indiana University O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs. I received my PhD from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health in 2022. I earned my MPH from Drexel University in 2017. I received my B.S. degree from Howard University in 2014.
