Biography

I have worked as a lead researcher/economist for 20 years and in health services research for over 11 years. I provide technical expertise and analysis on researching, developing, and implementing states health care policy options, particularly with regards to designing and implementing quantitative models.

I design evaluation strategies, develop work plans, write code, build models, and run analyses on a range of topics, such as eligibility for coverage expansions under the ACA and evaluations of Medicaid churn over time and between states. I have extensive experience with federal and state surveys including the American Community Survey (ACS) and the Survey of Income and Program Participation. I am currently the project director for SHADAC’s work on the RWJF-funded State Health Compare and Culture of Health updates project. This role involves developing and monitoring 50 different health care and culture of health indicators from 15 different data sources.
