Research Interests

I'm passionate about understanding health disparities and the impact of structural racism on public health. I use data analysis and machine learning to find patterns in demographic data that can help shape better public health strategies. I'm also interested in how geography affects health outcomes, exploring how environmental and spatial factors play a role. Additionally, I'm excited about researching the relationship between work-life balance and health outcomes to identify key factors and propose policies that improve both.

Biography

I'm Aarav Kalkar, a recent graduate with a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science & Engineering from SRM Institute of Science and Technology, specializing in Big Data Analytics. My journey through various internships and projects has cultivated a deep interest in data science, machine learning, and their applications in understanding and addressing health disparities. 

During my studies, I gained hands-on experience with a range of software, including Python, R, and SQL, through projects like the Health Inequities Dashboard and more. These projects allowed me to delve into data collection, analysis, and visualization, helping me learn how to keen eye for uncovering patterns and insights from complex datasets.
