Biography

I began working at MPC as a research assistant in 2004 and as full-time research staff on the IPUMS Data Projects in 2007. I oversee the US Survey Projects for the IPUMS Data Projects, working closely with senior staff, and I direct the IPUMS Time Use and IPUMS CPS teams. I am also the Director of the Life Course Center at the University of Minnesota.

My research interests are at the intersection of gender, work and family, aging and the life course, and time use. I am currently engaging in research on the time use of retirement-age Americans, time allocation patterns of men and women with different work and family configurations, and momentary assessments of subjective well being. An additional line of research is methodological in nature, for example, demonstrating the feasibility of using CPS data longitudinally.
