2025 Research Barnraising: Call for Presentations

HOME: Health, Opportunity, Mobility, and Equity in Housing

One and a half days; February 24-25, 2025 | Minneapolis, MN & online

The Minnesota Population Center is currently accepting submissions for the 2025 Research Barnraising to be held in person in Minneapolis, Minnesota; the panel discussion of the program will also be available to virtual participants. The conference theme is on housing: HOME: Health, Opportunity, Mobility, and Equity in Housing. The deadline to apply is November 15, 2024.

The purpose of this Call for Presentations is to invite scholars to submit research presentation ideas that, if accepted, they will present during the Barnraising Event as a Poster or as a five minute Flash Oral Session accompanied by Discussion Roundtables. The research presentation ideas will address innovative research topics on the topic of the Barnraising event: HOME: Health, Opportunity, Mobility, and Equity in Housing. We welcome proposals at all stages of development, from fully developed research projects with results, to early-stage, compelling ideas. We are especially eager to receive submissions that offer new, creative approaches or methodologies to studying housing, as well as those that address novel questions in housing and housing policy. All submissions will be considered for both a poster session or a flash oral session. We strongly encourage submissions from new and early stage investigators, graduate students, scholars who identify as being members of systematically excluded groups, and from new interdisciplinary teams.

Instructions for submitting a proposal:

Authors are asked to submit a short abstract (400 words max), along with a title and coauthors via the form below.
