Biography

I joined the MPC in 2014 as a Graduate Research Assistant and Population Trainee. I have been a member of the Terra Populus team working on aggregate data and microdata, as well as enganged in outreach activities and substantive research.

My research interests align with the fields of Population Geography and Demography. I am interested in how environmental factors affect human health, migration, fertility and reproductive health outcomes. I am enthusiastic about applying and developing spatial models to study demographic processes. I am currently working with Dr. Kathryn Grace on a project that investigates the effects of climate change on livelihoods, birthweight, and birth intervals in Kenya and Mali. My other MPC projects included the analyses of domestic and international migration in response to climate change in developing countries.
