Biography
Sebastian is a student in the University of Minnesota’s PhD program in Applied Economics. He is interested in the rural poor in sub-Saharan Africa and how developments in various national policies, agricultural technologies, and markets affect their food security and welfare. Prior to arriving in Minnesota, Sebastian served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Cameroon, and as an analyst for an NGO in Kenya. Originally from Pittsburgh, he earned his BA from Oberlin College and his MA in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School at Tufts University.
