As an international student, I am concerned about the labor economics and income inequality. Last semester, I participated in a workshop and completed a group project named Women’s Equality in the Corporation During COVID-19 Pandemic. When preparing for the case competition, I looked at a lot of data on the women unemployment rate and wage gap during COVID-19 pandemic. From that experience, I became interested in research. I really hope to get involved in Minnesota Population Center !
I am Ruixi Yu, a junior at the University of Minnesota. Now I am majoring in Economics and Mathematics.
