Research Interests

I am studying the relationship between political polarization and partisanship to health policy decisions, with a current focus on the state of Wisconsin and the tenure of former Governor Scott Walker. My interests also include the impact of health policy and health care on elections and voter decision. Beyond Wisconsin, I am also interested in these political contours in Minnesota, my home state of Colorado, and Michigan. I am also interested in mental health policy, substance use policy, and health insurance reform more broadly.

Robert Brehm is Master of Public Health student at the University of Minnesota School of Public Health, focusing on Public Health Administration and Policy, and a graduate of the Master of Global Policy Studies program at the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas.
