Health and medicine in 19th and 20th century Anishinaabe and Dakota territories/Midwest US. How health provisions changed over time, demographics of provisions by race, gender, and region.


I am a historian of medicine with a focus on Indigenous history and Anglo-settler colonialism in the 19th-centuy western Great Lakes. Currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Program in the History of Science, Technology, and Medicine at the University of Minnesota. I'm interested in health, religion, environment, and human relationships with the more-than-human worlds.
