I joined the MPC as Graduate Research Assistant at the IPUMS-International in my first year in PhD in 2015. My role at the IPUMS-Intertional Project involves harmozing census and survey data from around the world.

My research interest is Health, Labor, and Education in Vietnam and the US. In the US, I examine the effect of ending the Risk Corridor Program, a major provision under the Affordable Care Act, on health insurance premiums and participation of insurers. I have three ongoing projects in Vietnam. The first project examines the exceptional performance of Vietnamese teenagers on the PISA exams in 2012 and 2015. The second project estimates the effects of mandating benefits for female workers on formal labor participation and wages for females. The third one investigates the relationship between land tenurial security and agricultural investment; this study is funded by the United Nations University Institute for Development (UNU-WIDER).
