Research Interests

Development and labor economics

I am a Ph.D. candidate at the Department of Applied Economics, University of Minnesota.

I am an applied microeconomist with a broad interest in development and labor economics. I use both randomized control trials (RCTs) and observational data to identify barriers and find solutions to improve social welfare. In particular, my current research focuses on economics of education, migration, and agricultural productivity.

I have previously worked for the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), International Finance Corporation (IFC), and Swisscontact Bangladesh in various capacities.

If you are referring me on the 'first-name-basis', please call me "Wahed". If you need to use my full name, please use "Khandker Wahedur Rahman".
