I am a Ph. D. candidate at the University of Minnesota.
I have 9 years of experience producing high-quality research for academic institutions and international organizations. My research as a external consultant of these institutions span the fields of education, migration, health, and gender with special focus on analysis of economic issues in countries in South America, Central America, and the Middle East.
In my job market paper I study the ‘Venezuelan exodus’ to investigate the effects of migration, in the context of “open-border” policies, on employment and wages of the native population. I use a novel approach to measuring migration flows that can be applicable to other contexts too: Google searches for keywords.
I will be in the job market in 2020-2021.
