I am an interdisciplinary scholar and teacher. My research focuses broadly on the causes, characteristics, and consequences of human migration. I am particularly interested in the spatial patterning of migration flows among places. I have a longstanding interest in migration data and methods. I have spent the past few years connecting my work on migration to climate and environmental change. Finally, and more recently, I have been exploring a new interest in the U.S. immigration court system.
