Elizabeth Goldsmith, MD, MS is a general internist and social epidemiologist in training, interested in the effects of people’s life experiences and identities on chronic disease prevention, diagnosis, and management. Her current research considers methods of assessing and treating chronic pain, gender and sexual minority health disparities, and quantitative bias analysis in electronic medical record-based studies. She provides primary care to veterans in settings including the Women’s Comprehensive Care Clinic, and is on the Minneapolis team of the VA National Transgender E-Consult Service.
