Biography

I'm from a public health background, and I've worked with a variety of health data sources and survey data, including secondary use patient data at Children's Minnesota Hospital, health survey data such as NHIS and NHANES, and with population survey data at my current workplace at the Minnesota Population Center to build models useful for predicting the spread of infectious diseases, such as COVID-19. I'm excited about how patient-generated data - from surveys, apps, wearable devices, and social media - can be integrated with traditional EHR and population survey data sources to provide more comprehensive data driven approaches for research and streamline healthcare to improve patient-centered quality and cost-effectiveness, reduce inequities, and bridge the gaps between population health, patient experience, and precision medicine.
