Research Interests

My research focuses on health disparities, rural healthcare, and chronic disease management, with a particular emphasis on improving healthcare access and quality for marginalized populations. I explore structural inequities in health systems, patient complexity in chronic disease care, and the role of health information technology in shaping health outcomes. This aligns with the Minnesota Population Center (MPC) and the Life Course Center (LCC) research areas by addressing health equity, aging, and long-term care, particularly for individuals with cognitive impairments and underserved communities. My work contributes to understanding social determinants of health and policy solutions to enhance healthcare delivery and population well-being.

Biography

I am a graduate student in Health Services Research, Policy, and Administration at the University of Minnesota. With a background as an Ayurvedic physician, I have eight years of experience in traditional medicine and a strong interest in health equity, rural healthcare, and chronic disease management. My research interest focuses on structural inequities in healthcare, youth mental health, and improving long-term care for individuals with cognitive impairment. I am also passionate about health policy advocacy, particularly in maternal mental health, and exploring the role of health information technology in addressing healthcare disparities.
