I finished the MPC Diversity Fellowship program with Kari Williams to write blog posts about using IPUMS data for diversity and equity research.  I am now incorporating population data into my dissertation research. My current dissertation plan is to research equity in predictive modeling, particularly with regard to multiple, intersecting identity groups. I hope to incorporate population data available in IPUMS to take advantage of the rich, individual-level detail it offers on concepts like race, ethnicity, and socio-economic status. I began an interdisciplinary doctoral fellowship at the Minnesota Population Center in 2022.
