MPC provides support to our members through four shared cores. All MPC members are eligible to use the services of the cores. Additionally, all registered users of MPC data resources are eligible to use the services of the User Support Core. Cores also offer fee-based services for non-members.
- The Administrative Core maximizes the productivity of MPC researchers by reducing administrative burdens and handling day-to-day operations of the Center.
- The Development Core increases the research productivity of MPC members and fosters new interdisciplinary collaborations in our five Primary Research Areas.
- The Scientific/Techinical Core advances research in population dynamics by providing services in computing and software development, spatial analysis, and data science.
- The Dissemination and Outreach Core provides user support for MPC-produced data products, maximizing the accessibility of MPC data not only for academic researchers but also for students, policy makers, journalists and the general public.
When demand for services exceeds available staff time, requests are prioritized. In general, priority is given to MPC members, junior researchers, collaborative projects, and pilot studies likely to result in sponsored research projects.
